Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry (BBB)85巻以降で出版された全ての論文の著作権は、著者に帰属します。論文が採択された際にBBBへの独占的出版ライセンス（標準ライセンス）にご署名頂く必要がございます。著者はオープン・アクセス出版ライセンスを選択することも可能です。

標準ライセンスに署名した著者は出版後、以下の権利を保持します。

  • 論文全体や一部分または抄録を個人的用途に用いること。なお、著者自身の授業で用いることを含む。
  • ジャーナルにおける出版情報を完全な形で引用することを条件に、論文全体や一部分または抄録を派生的な研究や、論文を拡張した書籍などその他の出版物として使用すること。
  • 商業的に出版されない場合において、学位論文や研究論文内に論文全体、または一部を含めること。

BBB出版内容の使用許諾の申請について

BBBの出版内容についての使用許諾は全体か一部かに関わらず、オックスフォード大学出版局（OUP）にて管理します。使用許諾を申請する場合、該当論文のページを開き、抄録の上にあるPermissionsというリンクをクリックしてください。RightsLinkが開きますので、指示に従って論文の使用方法について適宜情報を入力してください。使用方法によっては使用料が発生する場合がございます。

BBBのセルフ・アーカイビングについての方針

  • Abstract and Citation information

著者は抄録と引用情報（例：題名、著者名、出版日）はいついかなる場所でもご使用いただけます。可能な場合、その情報に加えてオンライン論文の引用情報に含まれているDigital Object Identifier（DOI）のリンクをつけてください。

  • Author’s Original Version (Preprint)

著者オリジナル版（AOV）またはプレプリント版とは、著者がBBBに投稿する前に作成した査読前の版を指します。著者はAOVをいついかなる場所でも使用できます。これには個人のホームページ、所属機関、または非商業的な分野ごとのレポジトリー、商業的なウェブサイトやレポジトリー、ソーシャルメディアも含みますが、論文が採択されましたらその旨を下記の通り明記することを条件とします。

論文の出版後、AOVにDOIを付けて出版論文（Version of Record）へのリンクを張ってください。

  • Accepted Manuscript (Post-print)

採択版（AM）またはポストプリント版とは査読者のコメントに対する修正を含む採択された著者の最終版で、まだ校閲、組版、校正を行っていない版を指します。AMは、商業的なウェブサイトやレポジトリーがOUPとのAM公開についてのライセンス合意をしていない限り、該当のウェブサイトやレポジトリーにアップロードや共有することができません。

著者は出版直後に下記の行為が可能です。

　✓　AMを個人のホームページにアップロードする（商業的なウェブサイトやレポジトリーを除く）。

　✓　特定のエンバーゴ（制限）期間を過ぎるまで論文を公開しないという条件のもと、AMを所属機関、または
　　　その他の非商業的な分野ごとのレポジトリーにアップロードする。

著者はBBBのエンバーゴ期間である出版後12ヶ月を過ぎたら下記の行為が可能です。

　✓　所属機関のレポジトリー、または非商業的なレポジトリーにAMをアップロードし、公開すること。

論文が正しく引用されることを保証するため、AMをレポジトリーにアップロードする際には下記の文言、及び出版論文（VOR）へのDOIリンクを明記してください。

  • Version of Record

出版論文（VOR）とは、OUPによって最終的に組版、編集され、正式に独占的に出版され、「出版済み」と明記された版を指します。これには号に組み込まれる前に出版された「アドバンス・アーティクル」も含む。

校閲、校正後の修正を含む、ジャーナルで掲載されたVORは、オープン・アクセスのライセンスで出版されていない限り所属機関のレポジトリや第三者のウェブサイトで公開することはできません。

VORは該当ウェブサイトやレポジトリーがOUPと合意をしていない限り、商業的なウェブサイトやレポジトリーにアップロード、共有することはできません。

著者は所属機関内の個人的なグループや、Scholarly Collaboration Networks (SCN)でSTMの非商業的な論文共有方針に署名している非商業的なレポジトリーにおいてVORを共有することは可能です。

From Volume 85 of Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry (BBB), copyright in all published articles will remain with the author. Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign an exclusive license to publish their manuscript in BBB (Standard License). Authors also have the option to select an open access publishing license. 

Authors who sign a Standard License retain the following rights following publication:

  • To use all or part of the Article and abstract for personal use, including for use in the author’s own classroom teaching;
  • To use all or part of the Article and abstract in the preparation of derivative works and extension of the article into book-length or in other works, provided that a full acknowledgement is made to the original publication in the journal;
  • To include the article in full or in part in a thesis or dissertation, provided that this is not published commercially.

Requests for permission to re-use material from BBB

All requests to re-use material published in BBB, whether in whole or in part, in another publication will be handled by Oxford University Press. To request permission, please open the relevant article and click on the ‘Permissions’ link above the abstract to open the Rightslink page. Follow the on-screen instructions and fill in any relevant details about how you intend to re-use the material. Depending on the intended usage, a fee may be required for permission.

BBB’s Self-Archiving Policies

  • Abstract and Citation information

Authors may reuse the Abstract and Citation information (e.g. Title, Author name, Publication dates) of their article anywhere at any time. Where possible this should be accompanied by the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) link, which can be found in the Citation information of your article online.

  • Author’s Original Version (Preprint)

The Author’s Original Version (AOV) or ‘preprint’ version is the un-refereed author version of an article completed before submission of the article to BBB. Authors may make their AOV available anywhere at any time, including personal websites, institutional or non-commercial subject based repositories, commercial platforms websites or repositories, or social media, provided that, upon acceptance, they acknowledge that the article has been accepted for publication as follows:

This article has been accepted for publication in Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, published by Oxford University Press.

After publication authors should update their AOV with the DOI link to the published Version of Record.

  • Accepted Manuscript (Post-print)

The accepted manuscript (AM) or ‘post-print’ version is the final draft author manuscript, as accepted for publication, including modifications based on referees’ suggestions, before it has undergone copyediting, typesetting and proof correction. Accepted Manuscripts may not be uploaded or shared on commercial websites or repositories, unless the website or repository has signed a licensing agreement with OUP permitting such uploading or sharing.

Upon publication authors may immediately:

　✓　Upload their AM to their own personal webpage (excluding commercial websites and repositories)

　✓　Upload their AM to their institutional or other non-commercial subject based repositories on the
　　　proviso that it is not made publicly available until after the specified embargo period

After BBB’s embargo period of 12 months following publication, authors may:

　✓　Upload their AM to institutional repository or other non-commercial repositories and make it
　　　publicly available.

When uploading an accepted manuscript to a repository, authors should include the following acknowledgment as well as the DOI link to the version of record, to ensure the article is cited correctly:

  • Version of Record

The Version of Record (VOR) is the final typeset and edited version of the journal article that has been made available by OUP by formally and exclusively declaring the article “published”. This includes any ‘advance articles’ published prior to compilation within an issue.

The VOR as it appears in the journal following copyediting and proof correction may not be deposited by authors in institutional repositories or posted to third party websites and made publicly available unless the article is published on an Open Access model license that allows for such posting.

The VOR may not be uploaded or shared on commercial websites or repositories unless the website or repository has signed an agreement with OUP permitting such uploading or sharing.

Authors may share the VOR with private groups within their institution or through private groups on non-commercial repositories that are signatories to the STM Voluntary principles for article sharing on Scholarly Collaboration Networks (SCN).
